As a new fall project I came up with several projects involving white glue and construction paper crayons. The students learned about Texture, Color Blending, Highlights and how to color in the correct direction for their artwork. The artwork featured her is for the third grade.
I found a photo of a pumpkin patch some had made on line and it sparked this lesson. The students did great! They were excited to blend colors and I allowed them to make pumpkins that were pink, orange, green, blue or purple. The grass faded from dark to light and the sky could either be night or a sunset.
The students were required to blend colors and color in all one direction to successfully get a good grade on this project.
